It's Elementary My Dear Watson...These Characters Have The Power!
The element masters in comics, video games and anime (especially) are some of the more unique characters in each genre. Whether they are hero or villain doesn't change the fact that they have complete control over their unique elements. This control can manifest itself in various ways allowing the character to move, alter, mix, create or shape that element itself. Although it's similar to telekinetic powers, the actual control over matter through elemental mastery is often far more complex than just using pure psychic energy to manipulate the matter.

Second Life After Life: A Reboot of 'Dead Like Me'
I wrote about this show last year in a posting series I had been contemplating called: Resurrect, Reboot or Retire. I took a look at 3 different shows that I loved and considered my opinion on whether they should be, as the title eluded to be, resurrected, rebooted or retired and one of the shows I inquired of was Dead Like Me.

3 Reasons Why Star Wars: Battlefront Is Going To Change The FPS Genre
Let me take you back to the year 2005. There I am a 19 year old Star Wars fan boy, locked in a basement with my best friends as we binged on Totino's Pizza Rolls, Mountain Dew and Star Wars. We all lounged there with the movies playing on repeat on one TV, while we swapped turns on the Playstation and Xbox versions of Star Wars: Battlefront II.

Murder Mystery Dinner. Who Would Solve This First?
Dinner parties are sometimes seen as an overzealous attempt to impress your friends and colleagues with either your collection of acquaintances or possibly even your knowledge of proper etiquette and culinary prowess. A good dinner party can be something that you either dread attending because of the pomp and circumstance surrounding it, or maybe you're genuinely looking forward to attending because of the theme or motif.

Anime on the Big Screen: Fancasting the Naruto Movie
I grew up watching anime, and seeing as I'm in my late 20s and I grew up in the United States, you can probably guess that my first venture into anime was in fact Dragonball Z. It was the common first step for many people as they ventured into the anime and manga world. Regardless of how you may feel about DBZ, it is a solid stepping stone for people to get their feet wet.

Oh Captain, My Captain! Who's The Greatest Captain of Them All?
There have been countless leaders and commanders that have graced the screen, both big and small, over the years. More often than not, they are one of the defining elements in the shows and films we love. Whether we think they are honorable and we would follow them into the lion's den, or maybe we just love to hate them. All the same, they are clearly ingrained in our memory as being something special.

'Suicide Squad' - The Anticipation is Killing Me
Though this weekend has been littered with reviews and theories about the MCU and how Ultron affected it as well as ideas about the Infinity Gauntlet and how it correlates to the rest of phase 2 and into phase 3... something beautiful dropped on Twitter thanks to David Ayer.

The Superhero Movie We Deserve: Nickelodeon's Awesome Captain Planet
I grew up in the early 90s. My childhood was comprised of classic Nickelodeon, Captain Crunch and Saturday morning cartoons. One show that I was truly dedicated to watching was Captain Planet. I loved the "edutainment" that it brought, and even though I really had no idea what environmentalism actually meant, I remember it as being a highlight of my mornings.

Why Syfy Wins With Its Viral Series, Helix
So I was invited to create a posting about a genre I don't normally write about, and I was intrigued by the idea. I went through a personality quiz and it was on the button with my fandom being video games, and explained that I should post about superheroes but seeing as that is my secondary comfort zone I decided to switch it up and look at writing something that would normally not cross my radar.
