Aren't We All Just a Little Minion at Heart?
In 1937, Walt Disney pioneered a path for animation to join the ever-growing collection of feature films to showcase in cinemas across the world. Since then there have been critical and commercial successes as well as those that have fallen flat and failed to meet expectations. Animation studios have come and gone, but if we limit our frame of reference to just the last 15 years we've seen some great films come from the titan studios like:

Xander Cage Is Set to Return in 'xXx 3,' Who Else Will Join Him?
13 years ago, Vin Diesel brought us a character that we all wished to be: Xander Cage - an extreme athlete and stuntman who seemed to have the world at his feet and is drawn into the life of a spy. In 2002, although it seemed like a semi-ridiculous plot, xXx was released and was a Box Office success, although, it was met with mild reviews. Its success spurned a sequel in 2005, but because of scheduling conflicts the story was re-written with a new character as the lead badass. Enter Ice Cube as Darius Stone in xXx: State of the Union, who is tasked with protecting the President against a power struggle against him. This iteration of the series, was met with even lesser reviews and box office revenues were drastically less.

Cutting The Cable: How Netflix Is Taking Over The World
Now, I'm not claiming that Netflix is going to become Skynet or anything. I'm not predicting the uprising of Terminators or anything like that, but I am seeing a trend which - if it keeps up - could drastically change the landscape of television and streaming media.

“I found something really interesting.” - Michael Burry That's one of the opening lines in the first official trailer for the upcoming movie The Big Short, and I think it precisely describes the movie itself: really interesting. 10 Superhero Moments in 2015 That Blew Us Away
The entertainment world is constantly growing and evolving, and the superhero film and TV movement in on the forefront of that growth. Superheroes have had a long and glorious run of animated content along with a few live-action stints starting back in the early 50's with Superman, Batman, Shazam, Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk and several others. Yet, it seems that in the past decade, interest in the genre has grown drastically as it shifted from children and lifelong fans to the mainstream TV audience, and there is no appearance of any slowdown in the near future as the genre expands network by network.

Fan-casting a Rambo Reboot
With the news that Sylvester Stallone has named his choice to succeed him in his role as John Rambo (Read about that here) and I thought I'd take a second to look at some of the potential options as to who could replace Stallone in one of his more well-known characters.

Breaking: First Official 'Iron Fist' Details Revealed
So this year has been rather trying for Iron Fist fans like myself. First we hear news that our beloved Danny Rand may not actually get into Marvel's Cinematic Universe as part of The Defenders (if even appearing at all). Then we hear that the studio is having trouble with the story and they may scrap the Netflix series and go with a feature length movie on Netflix. Then we hear that's not going to happen. All of these up and down rumors left us all with a great sense of fear that we may never get to see the Immortal Iron Fist come to life like we've seen so many other great characters.

Objectification or Admiration? - The Problem With Sexuality In The Media
This may garner me with an abnormal amount of disdain, but this weekend I saw a post on the Creators Facebook Page that got me thinking in general about sexuality in the media. The meme was shared to the page with no ill intent, yet there were several creators, myself included who took offense at it: not because of the image, but because of the text that accompanied it - stating "Ronda Rousey looks better lying down anyway." - At the time meant it was meant to reference Rousey being knocked down in a fight that was supposed to be a win for her, but the sexually-infused meme, was not simply poking fun.
