My Return to Cosplay
I'm here to give everyone an update of what's been going on with me. One of the first articles I'd written on Vocal was my battle with depression and anxiety. Back in May was Mental Health Awareness Month and I was sharing my story of the traumatic events, past and present, I've experienced that led me to have a mental breakdown. After that occurred, I became homeless and felt worthless. It felt like my life was over at that point and like I had no future. So with that said, I'm writing this article to give everyone an update of how things are currently going with me.

Cosplayer Spotlight: Kyle Herron
Texxx-Man Cosplay: How long have you been doing cosplay and how did it change your life? Kyle Herron: September will be my one year anniversary since I started to cosplay. Before this, I was in a deep depression and didn’t want to do anything. I had a small group of friends that I hang and spend time with, but even though I loved them, it was a struggle for me to go visit them. Now, I have a large group of friends and I’m not nearly as depressed as I used to be. I take better care of myself. I’m excited to go do things. All in all, cosplay has made me a better person.

3 Advantages of Being a Nerd
At the age of two, I discovered my father's NES and played my first game, Super Mario Bros. When I was five-years-old, I became more interested in nerdy things, for example, watching tv shows like Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and also having plenty of toys and trading cards. So basically, I was the nerdy one in my family. I had that personality as a kid and now as an adult. I'm going to share with you three advantages of being a nerd and show everyone that there's nothing wrong with liking certain things.

We have been married for almost four months; been together for four years. I fought three years of breast cancer and fought losing our first baby. I'm a strong-hearted woman. Cosplayer Spotlight: Eric Lenhardt
What excites me as a cosplayer is other cosplayers being creative and coming with the most outstanding cosplays. I regularly leave comments on their photos and share those pictures on social media. Another cosplayer that I had an opportunity to interview recently was Eric Lenhardt. He may be in his 40s, but don't take his appearance and creative side for granted. I see his cosplays on a regular basis on Facebook and Instagram. He has the best ideas and is willing to cosplay as pretty much anybody. So sit back and enjoy this interview.

For the last several weeks, I've interviewed so many great cosplayers and got to know more about them. San Diego Comic Con starts later on this week and I always see potential in all cosplayers. Why Cosplay Accuracy Is Overrated
Cosplay is something I've been in love with since 2014, and I don't have any plans of stopping anytime soon. Seeing cosplayers on social media and in person shows me that we're all unique and talented. Whenever you post a picture of your cosplay, you're flooded with likes and fantastic comments. However, with the good comes with the bad. You cosplay as your favorite character and suddenly, someone comes in your comment section on your social media page and says, "You look nothing like your character" or "So and so character is this race. Why are you doing this character?" I can remember someone saying this to me at a convention called the Art Pop Comic Expo in Springdale, Arkansas back in June 2017.

How To Dress Like The Blue Ranger
In early 2017, I knocked off an important item off my bucket list: finally suiting up as the Blue Ranger. It was a dream come true and couldn't wait to do cosplay photoshoots and attend conventions as my favorite character. Last November, the Armored Blue Ranger was a cosplay that I went as for a convention that I attended in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I had lots of likes and positive feedback on my social media pages.

Texxx-Man Cosplay's Ideal Man
In February 2012, I came out as a gay man. Since then, I've only been in two serious relationships. Neither of them lasted and I would love to change that. I understand that everyone has busy schedules and whatnot. When I was working, I hardly had any time to date. I'm on so many different dating sites that I haven't had any luck finding the right guy. However, it doesn't mean that I stopped trying to look for love. I just can't date any and everybody. No one can date the world. I have to search for a man who shares similar interests as I do and also is accepting of me and my friends. Below is a list of things you need to know about me if you're thinking about being in a serious long-term relationship with this awesome cosplayer and unapologetic nerd.
