I'm A Tree. Top Story - October 2022.
Even though the past two years have been comparable to surviving a thunderstorm in the open sea. I'm grateful to be living in a place somewhere close to nature. I get to go to a beautiful, lush park close to home and have walks that help me clear my own internal storms.

Goodbye, Broken Planet
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Not that anyone would hear me anyway. I can barely speak after The Blackout. It was the toxic fumes. Now, my voice cracks just above the volume of a whisper. However, most of the time it does not sadden me that I cannot speak as before. Maybe it is because I have nothing to say. Maybe I am at a permanent loss for words. The world ending can have that effect.

The Scream. Second Place in Unexpected Uncovering Challenge.
These nights have been restless. It was supposed to be a relaxing getaway. A romantic getaway. The waters have been rough between Robert and me in the past months. We've had struggles before, but the last drop was the affair. It was a week before our anniversary when I received the call from my brother Daniel. My husband. Another woman. Before marriage, I promised that I would never forgive a cheater. I was wrong. Leaving him was harder than I thought. He admitted his mistake, and after circling, long conversations, I understood cheating takes two. Now, he is moving land, sea and sky to win me back.

Magical Thinking for a Happy Life
"Make a wish." "Thank you, Universe!". "Everything happens for a reason". "It's a sign". "That was/wasn't meant for me". You'll hear me saying these phrases on a regular basis. Why? Well, because I believe our universe is full of magic. It's everywhere, within every living being, in every corner. The kind that makes miracles happen.

Tuesdays with Jessie
It's Tuesday. I'm sitting at our table. The one right next to the restroom of our coffee shop. It's not even a table, really. Two green stools sitting by each other and a wooden bar fixed to the glass panel. Perfect to place our drinks and our special treat. The window looks out to a back alley. Most people would think this is an unusual choice. Having the beautiful view of the walkway by the Thames, why on Earth would two people choose to sit looking at the garbage bins in the alley? A place which most people in London choose to ignore. As all abandoned, sketchy alleys in the city.

Love Your Hair! Bring Back Scrunchies
I've never been much of a fashonista or a huge trend-follower. To be honest, I'm clueless when it comes to fashion. I'm okay with that! But, if there's one trend I would love to see come back in full force, it's this unbeatable 80s and 90s hair accessory: THE SCRUNCHIE!

A Man By The Sea
Each evening, I sit here. Witnessing the golden sun, as it prepares to sleep far in the distance. Lighting the sky with a fiery orange and red glow. I hear the horn of the cruise ship "tooting" goodbye as it sails to the next port. Three times, as dictated by maritime tradition. In contrast, I notice an old sailboat that sits quietly in the horizon, small to the eyes, making its way slowly, gliding through the waves. It used to be a party boat years ago, full of life and music. Now, it just sails from one side of the island to the other. A ghost ship. Drifting away, every day. That's the passage of time, the passage of life. The wind guides it towards its destination. The same wind that, as a light breeze, brushes my face whispering a tropical melody.
