The Canterville Ghost The Canterville Mansion was a grand and imposing structure, looming large over the English countryside. It had been the home of the Canterville family for generations, but now stood abandoned and desolate. The villagers whispered about the mansion, claiming that it was haunted by the ghost of Sir Simon Canterville, a notorious ancestor who had met a grisly end in the mansion's walls. It would serve as decent background entertainment while doing other tasks, but it's on the big screen that "The Mother" truly shines.
