It was the Last time. Content Warning.
I wasn't sure what to do, I went too far, I don't remember how.... I went too far. My chest was heaving and I was hot. My sweat was dripping and mingling with the speckles of blood that decorated my face like freckles. I was still holding the cast iron pan, his body was twitching on the floor. Half of his face had this almost surprised look, the other half looked like a bowl of weird jello spilling out of a can.

It means something: The sounds, the motions, our mouths moving and tongues focused. They mean words, sometimes mean words. Sometimes it just sounds high like you're never coming down with words, But without emotions, they whither and go unheard. So we say words and things and AHH and OHH and HMM with things.

Memories In The Room
Stepping from her car, into the early morning, Ronnie took a deep breath as if she could inhale courage from the rising haze. How long has it been since she saw this house? Since she was in this gravel driveway that dispassionately delivered skinned knees on a regular basis? A memory came to her, something Mammah would say when she could tell Ronnie was waffling on a decision or task. There she was- standing in the kitchen at the counter between the stove and sink, somehow already knowing that Ronnie was there.
