'Romeo and Juliet'
Everyone knows about the play Romeo and Juliet; the story of two young star crossed lovers from two rival families who marry in secret and take their lives. A simple, straight forward story, right? So why are there so many diverging versions of it??? I mean all the versions I’ve seen have the same story line as its base, but takes liberties with how we see it. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. But it adds so many layers to an already established story.

I Thought Kokkuri-San Was Just a Game
Kokkuri-San is Japan’s answer to our Ouija board. I had heard about it in passing on the internet as just another urban legend. And since I knew little about it, I put it from my mind until it just came back. I was in Japan for a month long trip when I suddenly thought of the game. I was with my friend, Mari, who I met in an online chat room and asked her about the game.

I Played the Elevator Game...
I had heard the stories about the Elevator Game. It supposedly takes you to another world as long as you follow the specific rules laid out. I found it strange at first but didn’t give it any thought. To do more ‘research’ I looked up different YouTube videos and first account stories of others doing it. All of it seemed so fake to me, so I figured the whole thing was just another hyped up thing, but I still wanted to try it. And lucky for me, I live two blocks from a 15 story building.
