These Words Erase Me
. . . Author’s Note: The following is the 17th poem in my self-challenge to write a poem a day. It is a free verse poem — a touch scatterbrained, but deeply personal and relatable for many writers, I believe. Thank you for reading and wish me luck to keep the pace ❤

Shadows of My Childhood
Author’s Note: This poem is inspired by the cover image, taken by Me in Tuscon, AZ, USA. Swinging was always a favorite pastime for me as a child, thus the title: “Shadows of my Childhood.” I hope you enjoy this 13th poem in my self-challenge to write a poem a day. Click Here to read the 1st poem in this series. And, as always, Mahalo for reading! ❤

The Little Girl I Once Was
Author’s Note: I challenged myself to write a poem a day (before I realized there was a movement for this), but tonight, after an accidental glimpse in the mirror, this reflective prose poem is what came out instead. Click here for the first poem in this challenge. Thank you for reading and wish me luck to keep the pace ❤
