American Buyers in Germany
Every dressage rider has dreamed of their ideal dressage horse. If you are an American and interested in buying your dream dressage horse chances are you've considered traveling to Germany to find your perfect dressage horse. I am not here to give you a step by step plan for how to buy a horse in Germany, but I do think you need to be prepared for how you will be approached once you arrive. Speaking as someone who worked in dressage stables you may not be flattered by the way German breeders and dealers view American clients. You may also want to think twice before spending thousands on shipping and handling to bring this dream horse home from Germany.

Doom on Grooms
The life of a groom is never an easy one, but for some of us, it's a good option when you want to work in a stable, see some competitions, and maybe have some riding lessons. You work a hard schedule with overwhelming workloads, little money, and enough stress to make you want to die. Here are some helpful things you need to know about working as a groom before you decide to work as a groom in Germany. Although I’m sure these are things that can apply to working as a groom in any country, my experience has primarily been in Germany and bit in America.

Women at Work
Misogyny. Even the sound of it is unpleasant when you say it. However, you can’t fully imagine how unpleasant this word really is until you have experienced the type of situations where it is applied. Here I will be sharing examples of what it’s like for a woman to work in a misogynistic business based off of situations I have experienced, or witnessed. As you read I Would appreciate it if you would respect that these are real situations that have happened to real women, and not to belittle or dismiss them.

Healing
I think we have all experienced heartbreaking relationship at some point or another. Here are some things I felt after one that was particularly difficult for me. These thoughts are not exactly in any specific order, just here written out the same way they came to my mind at different points of healing... Maybe they can help someone to find their own path to healing.

Women Supporting Women
I recently started seeing instagram photos which are part of a new challenge for women to show support for each other. So basically what it requires is a female friend to nominate you to post a photo of yourself, which you post, which then shows that they support you. This is indeed a positive social media trend that I believe is needed - especially with our females on social media While it's refreshing to see a positive social media trend among women, it does make you question why women supporting each other is even a challenge to begin with?
