The 90s were a golden era for superhero cartoons, with shows like Batman: The Animated Series, Spider-Man: The Animated series, the iconic original X-Men animated series, and many more aired during this time frame. While many episodes of such shows were self-contained, some featured two-part stories, and a few were even serialized in nature. 'Star Wars': Which 'Tales' Could We See Next?
May the Fourth 2024, a date known affectionately as 'Star Wars Day', brought with it the Disney Plus debut of Tales of the Empire, a series of six shorts following two characters, eventual Ahsoka villain Morgan Elsbeth, and fallen Jedi Bariss Offee, during the days of the Galactic Empire. It is the second Tales series, following the release of Tales of the Jedi in 2022.

Beyond 'The Bad Batch': 4 Possible Spin-Offs
WARNING! SPOILERS for The Bad Batch series finale. After three action-packed seasons, The Bad Batch has come to an end. To the surprise of many fans, the series gets a relatively happy ending, with Omega rescued, the Tantiss base destroyed, and no major loss of life save for the heroic sacrifice of Nala Se, and as is to be expected of a series set in this era, a few unfortunate clones. In the aftermath, Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair retire to Pabu to raise Omega in peace, while Echo once again departs to rejoin Rex.

In Memoriam: Ray Chan's Biggest Contributions To The MCU
In sad news, Raymond 'Ray' Chan, an Art Director/Production Designer died unexpectedly on April 3, 2024, at the age of just 56. Chan worked on a number of well received projects over the years, including Nanny McPhee, National Treasure, and the cult classic Children of Men, but he will almost certainly be most remembered for his quite extensive work within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Star Wars fans received a surprise this week when, upon the release of the first trailer, what was thought to be a second season of Tales of the Jedi is actually a new series, Tales of the Empire. As Tales of The Jedi told two stories, one following the history of not-quite-a Jedi Ahsoka Tano, and the other the events that sparked the beginning of Dooku's fall to the Dark Side, Tales of the Empire will also tell two stories beginning in the early days of the Empire. One is the tale of surviving Nightsister Morgan Elsbeth and the early days of her alliance with Thrawn, while the other will finally reveal what happened to fallen Padawan Bariss Offee after her bombing of the Jedi Temple and failed attempt to frame Ahsoka for the crime.

Why 'Playdate With Winnie The Pooh' Is A Truly Unnecessary Reboot
After premiering last year in countries that still have a Disney Junior cable channel, the first season of pre-school age Winnie The Pooh reboot/spin-off Playdate with Winnie The Pooh has arrived on Disney Plus, with it's companion series, Me & Winnie The Pooh likely to follow sometime soon. This has brought the series, which both redesigns the characters and recasts their voices, to the attention of some traditional Pooh Bear fans who were previously unaware of it, and many are not happy.
