Bonnie and Clyde
In the ten years that she had been with Clyde, Bonnie had lost count of the number of heists they had pulled off. In the beginning, they were small and inconspicuous. It was an article of clothing here, an inexpensive piece of jewelry there. They tried to stay under the radar, just so they did not get caught. They were able to get their kicks and take home something nice for themselves or sell it off to another person for a profit. Bonnie and Clyde were not what you would call wealthy, but they got by with what they made.

The Day I Chose Me
A couple of years ago, I finally decided to leave an extremely abusive relationship. I was with my partner for five years, and I endured mental, physical, and emotional abuse on an almost daily basis. She would call me crude names, as well as tell me I was worthless and that no one would ever want to be with me or love me. She would punch me, pull my hair, and throw my personal belongings, often times breaking expensive electronics. I lost count of the number of books she destroyed. She was abusive, narcissistic, and mean. When I finally got up the courage to leave and stay gone, she lit our house on fire, destroying much of my clothing, all of my books, and sentimental items that cannot be replaced.

One Day With You
The morning light streams in through the curtains, illuminating your soft skin, giving it an ethereal glow. I watch the light dance across your back, tracing over the patterns it makes with my fingertips. I run them down your spine, in awe of the jolt of electricity coursing through my veins at the feel of your skin. I lean down to kiss your shoulder, moving your hair to the side so I can kiss you neck as I wrap an arm around you and run lazy circles on your tummy. As I feel you stir from your slumber, I pull you close to me. I whisper in your ear “good morning, my beautiful bee” and kiss your cheek. You turn around to face me, still pressed close against me. I move your hair away from your face, look into those beautiful eyes and tell you I love you. I move closer to kiss you, soft and sweet. I roll away from you to get out of bed. You ask where I’m going, a bit whiny. I tell you I’m going to make you breakfast and walk out of the room.
