Faeries Love Tea Parties
Faeries love tea parties. Everybody knows this, but not very many know exactly why. Is it the tiny portions, the cakes that are so light they could almost fly away, the attire usually associated, or something altogether different? I was determined to find out. Maybe too determined.

Charyss
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. She had to remind herself of that. They looked so natural here, like it had always been their home. They had her to thank for this new home. Keydra
There weren't always dragons in the valley. At least, that's what she'd been told. She'd never known the valley to be dragonless, nor could she picture it. Nor, even, did she want to. And yes, they had hot tempers and even hotter breath and were the reason that the forest that had once flourished here was now very nearly extinct.

Laesha
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Laesha's grandmother had told her stories as a young cub of The Time Before. Before awe and wonder. Before magic. Those stories had often confused Laesha. After all, the whole reason they came to the Valley was the dragons. "Yes, my cub," her grandmother would say, "but life was different then. Back then, we came to the Valley for the same reason the dragons are there now. It was a lush and fertile hunting ground. We were careful not to over-hunt it. That's why we kept leaving, but we always go back."
