The Tale of Zerno

The sky is grey. The wind, piercing cold. Zerno is perched atop Mount Finte. His eyes, fixed forward, onto the land below him. The beautiful lands of Gabarog. The beauty escaped him, however. Many times he had been here, but this was the first time he came alone. Alone. That's all he felt. In a land teeming with life and beauty, he felt alone. For he had lost his companion in life. His rider, Kino. A pain no being should ever feel.
