journaling Journaling is one of the best ways to deal with a breakup. It’s the perfect way to get all of your emotions out on paper – and it’s so therapeutic. You can write anything in your journal: letters to your ex, lists of why you loved your partner, or just your feelings. The important thing is to get them out so that you don’t have to carry them around with you. When you’re journaling, try to be descriptive rather than analytical. For example, if you were really mad about something during the relationship, don’t try to figure out why you were mad. Instead, just write down what you were feeling and how it made you feel. Writing your emotions down can help them get out of your system so that you can move on. Writing down your thoughts can also be a great way to process your feelings so that you can understand them better.
