If Time Could Heal
If I could rewrite history, I’d rearrange the alphabet placing you and I further apart. If I were a novelist, I’d write the end to our beginning, skipping the chapters of evidence that we were never meant to be from the start. If I could reinvent math, I’d eliminate the greater than and equal to symbol, because dividing pain by the struggle, multiplying grief by the stress, more or less means finding something greater than, doesn’t equal you. If I could manipulate the hands of time, I’d erase the moment you entered my life. If I could be anything other than what I feel, I’d be blind because then I’d never witness the unfulfilled potential, I saw in you.

Her Color
Sandy red hair, chestnut eyes, amber skin, a red bone to the fellas. Curvaceous hips, sultry lips, the sway of her words as waves in a calm blue ocean, lulling the hearts of man to peace. The light of her smile contrasts shadows of grey remnants from her tortured past. Reds of her beating heart, greens of her zeal, and blues of every breath create a white canvas, pure and undefiled. Painting the dreams of tomorrow in the hue of unadulterated hope, she guides every stroke with poise in stride looking for a rainbow in the sky. Bold and beautiful, vivacious, and complex, this vivid and luminous color is me.

Sandy red hair, chestnut eyes, amber skin, a red bone to the fellas. Curvaceous hips and sultry lips, the sway of her words as waves in a calm blue ocean, lulling the hearts of man to peace. The light of her smile contrasts the shadows of grey, scaling from her tortured past. Reds of her beating heart, the green of her zeal, and blues of every breath create a white canvas, pure and undefiled. Painting the dreams of tomorrow in the hue of unadulterated hope, she guides every stroke with poise in stride looking to the rainbow in the sky.
