Arcadia Archives IV
Walk in the Park The Arcadia Management Area in Rhode Island is a very rarely talked about gem that most people have passed or entered. It spans more than 14,000 acres, making it the largest recreational area in the state. Arcadia covers land in West Greenwich, Exeter, Richmond, and Hopkinton (including Browning Mill Pond, Breakheart Pond, and Frosty Hollow Pond). Here, wildlife and people converge.

DIY Breakup
I think for the most part we can all agree that break ups suck, whether you're the one that does the breaking or on the receiving end of the "good-bye". If it was a long relationship it leads to a complete transformation in our life. We lose mutual friends, communication becomes strangled if some friends decide to stick it out with both parties, and we lose the constant companion that we did have. (If we're being honest, sometimes the loss of the constant companion is a good thing. You'll come to realize it was the memories that you missed and not indeed the person since there's a reason you broke up. One of you changed, maybe both).

Arcadia Archives 1
The ocean state has more to offer than just its gorgeous beaches. It also has wooded paths, rolling fields, mountain bike trails, horseback riding, and fishing and boating areas. The sunset at the beach may be mesmerizing, but very little compares to watching it fall behind a large pond while sitting beneath a large pine tree. It spans more than 14,000 acres, making it the largest recreational area in the state. There are numerous trails and one can spend an entire summer (or longer) investigating all of the territory it covers. It is a place set aside for the community to enjoy the outdoors and to spend quality time with one another without the input of technology. Here, wild life and people converge.

Valentine's Day on a Budget
Every year, college students and recent grads find themselves struggling to celebrate Valentine's Day. With the costs of text books rising with no end in sight and paying off student loans, it's amazing we're even able to buy ourselves a sandwich, never mind buy a gift that accurately captures how we feel about a loved one. So what do we do instead?

John and Jane...and Valentine's Day
John and Jane…and Valentine’s Day Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching which means heart-shaped boxes of chocolate and gooey cards are littering the aisles of our stores and appearing on tables, in mailboxes, and on office desks all across America. (Don’t lie, you’re counting down the days until those boxes of chocolate go on sale, I know I am).

'Smile': A Human Problem
If you’re a woman, then you know that creepy older man that always says “smile, it’s not that bad.” And then he winks and watches you walk away, thinking you don’t notice or feel his eyes. He chuckles, thinking he is just so smart. He murmurs something to his male friends that you by choice ignore, but if you really wanted to hear, you could because they're truly not that far away.

John and Jane and L**e
Every relationship is different. They develop at different speeds. Some people rush right into marriage and family, only dating for a couple of months before they take that leap. They spend hours together everyday and by the end of week 2 they have already said those three words. “I love you.” These words can make people feel like they’re birds, soaring high above everyone else without a care in the world. For others they cause something far different and slightly more terrifying. They freeze up, finding their tongue too heavy to move, and they think for sure they’re partner can tell they’re ready to bolt the first chance they get. This doesn’t mean they feel don’t feel the same way. They can still love their partner, but want to run at the same time. It’s not the emotion that scares them usually, it’s knowing that now someone has the ability to hurt them. Love leaves you completely vulnerable and open to the other person. Love for some people is amazing, for others its like being afraid of heights and jumping from a plane without a parachute.
