A hobby that saved my life & became my dream goal.
Growing up, I was the boy who feared expressing his emotions freely. At times I used to question my purpose in this world & wondered why I was always getting bullied or misunderstood. We all go through our share of bulling, but the worst feeling is thinking that you have no one to share this pain with in order to heal the wounds. This was a dark cycle I used to endure every day, to a point where I wanted to end my journey short. However one day, leading into another day, I would have my pain chant inside my head like a preacher, wanting to be released. When you’re a young boy dealing with internal battles, we usually keep to ourselves, play sports, play video games, hang with our friends, etc. With me, writing my thoughts on a laptop in the library after school was my way to be free from my nightmares. Little did I know? I was stepping into a healing literary genre called poetry.
