“Fitness” Challenges and the Illusion of Health
Each January first, individuals set off with aims to better themselves in the new year. They pledge to eat better, avoid shoddy nourishment and take out, and in some cases take on wellness challenges. I was at the exercise center in my old neighborhood over break and heard one of the fitness coaches talking about with another how she'll do the 75 Hard Challenge beginning this month. 75 Hard is a test that goes on for that numerous days, and comprises of abstaining from excessive food intake, making an effort not to have cheat dinners, working out double a day, drinking a gallon of water day by day, understanding verifiable, and a few other personal growth exercises. At face esteem, there's nothing too sketchy in this test, yet - in the same way as other "wellness challenges" - 75 Hard is blemished.
