Society
There are no perfect societies, all cultures have their bad and good parts. Part of learning about history, traditions and past actions means learning what does and does not work. History has shown that discrimination never works for the best, yet people continue to discriminate daily. Beliefs like Confucianism and the Bushido Code may not be perfect but they focus on the community rather than personal goals and greed. The history of the Bedouins and what the government has done to them, is a perfect example of how to make bad choices and be immoral. Throughout history we are reminded of what not to do and what to do, we just have to listen to it.

Stream of Days
The Stream of Days by Taha Hussein can be classified as a detailed intriguing story of a boy with only four senses. The story focuses on a day in the life of a blind boy who is being taken care of by his brother. Throughout the story, the reader comes to realize that the boy is abandoned a lot. Sometimes at the Azher to listen to lectures. Other times left in a corner at their home while his brother goes off and does things with his friends. The most common theme is the boy's thirst for knowledge. Without the use of his eyes, the boy must rely on listening in order to learn anything. While at a lecture, he becomes annoyed that the teacher is rambling and not actually teaching anything. When at home and being forgotten by his brother and his friends, the boy strains his ears to be able to hear anything he can. He becomes happy even when he can only hear an echo of voices. Another theme could be the boy's loneliness. Even without the use of his eyes, the boy can be included in most things but his brother is always abandoning him or simply just forgetting about him. This loneliness is also reflected in the boy's response to darkness. The boy literally lives in darkness, but becomes scared and depressed when the lamp is not on.

Words and Actions Matter
One of the hardest things to do as an adult, is go through a hiring process. It can take months to even get a call back. Businesses can receive thousands of resumes every day that they need to sort though. Businesses use everything from first impressions to resumes when making employment decisions. In today’s world of social media and oversharing, businesses are now implementing social media as a hiring tool. This paper will explore a person's right to free speech together with a company's obligation to hire the optimum person for the job. Concurrently, this paper will cover the legal and ethical issues with a businesses application of social media when hiring.

Ancient Rome
Welcome to ancient Rome. Originally just a simple city-state, it was formed into a republic in 509BCE. The king was replaced with two consuls who ruled together. Renamed in 27 BCE by Augustus, adopted son of the great Julius Caesar. Augustus transformed the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire and formed it into an autocratic government, in other words, he was the only boss. Although he never actually assumed the title of Emperor, we have named him Rome’s first Emperor. The Roman people were separated into two classes, the rich and the poor. That wasn’t the only way they were separated, they were also separated by gender and generation. Like most ancient societies and some modern ones, men ruled the world.

Bullying
What is bullying? There are many different definitions for bullying, but they all pretty much say the same thing. Bullying is the unwanted and aggressive behavior between people that involves a power imbalance. This unwanted aggressive behavior has to either have the potential to be repetitive or be repetitive. The power imbalance that causes this behavior does not have to be real. This imbalance can be many things, such as physical strength, embarrassing information, popularity or just the want to control and harm others. When most people think of bullying, they think of school children. Bullying does not just happen to children it can happen to adults too.

Samurai's Choice
Shuffling feet and clanging metal woke Ryo from his sleep, jolting up with blurred vision and a racing heart. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and yawned, looking around with curious eyes. Leaning back on his hands, he groaned softly. The sun wasn’t even up yet. Ryo stared up at the top of his tent, tracing the sewing with his gaze and breathing deeply. The tent was a deep tan with yellowing spots scattered around. Other soldiers made fun of his old ratty tent but it held a special place within Ryo’s heart. The tent was originally his fathers', Osamu’s, who had died in battle when Ryo was only a child. His mother had gifted him with the tent the day he left home and Ryo was honored to bring the memory of his father with him. Ryo could only hope to live up to his fathers' name.
