The first rays of dawn broke across the horizon, bathing the port city in a dusty rose hue, the light catching against the teal waves and making them sparkle like a vast sea of liquid diamonds. The room was still dark, the fine silk drapes of the four poster bed casting deep shadows across its occupants.
