To Love and Be Loved
Over the course of my twenty-five years here on earth, I’ve had my fair share of pets. I’ve had guinea pigs, a dog, rabbits, fish, lizards. The first lasting impression I’ve had from a pet, though, was my rescue dog Kelsey. I had wanted a dog for so long and my parents wanted to fulfill that wish. They had tried to bring home a dog for me once before, and she had run away as soon as my dad opened the car door. We never saw her again. Then, a family who couldn’t take care of their dog anymore, gave him to us. That didn’t work out either as he would bite and scratch us. We ended up giving him back for obvious reasons.

Blood & Wine
Neve knocked on the door of her date’s house and chewed her lip. The air was cool and it chilled her legs as she stood on the gravel pathway. She looked around at the beautiful property as she waited; the lawn was lush and had the greenest grass she’d ever seen. The front of the house was lined with mulch and had lovely blueish purple hydrangea bushes that hugged the grey stone walls of the house. Her gaze looked back up at the overcast sky and then back down to the deep red door in front of her. Neve sighed and hugged her arms tightly to herself. ‘She sure is taking her time.’, she thought as she shivered. She reached her hand out to knock on the door again when it swung open to reveal the object of her affections.

When You Gotta Go, You Gotta Go
Back when I was a little kid, and we're talking twenty some-odd years ago, I went to daycare after school. It was fairly normal, as far as daycares go. After school, I would be accompanied by other children and a teacher as we walked around the corner to the other school where daycare was hosted. This also happened pretty much immediately after the bell rang, as well, which meant we needed to form a line in the hallway quickly and wait for a teacher. Only then could we leave the building.
