You’ve been taken in by a band of thugs With their self- proclaimed, re-engineered Hopeless band of hugs The jokers are full of reprimanded rust

Smoke washes out their pores Regret makes towards the doors Fire breaks in from the escape Complaining only, besides their sighs
Love gets left behind again As we lose ourselves To where we’ve been Like an empty well But we can't hope For more this time
Lovelessness leeks into hopelessness But isn't how we accept Absurdity's carelessness so quickly, readily and callously without ever thinking about forgiveness
Chests of grandeur Fill up dreams Of stolen candor Bursting at the seams Scars burn like broken record memories With agony of haunted, frightened trees
Whispers that don't progress Are like empty words hopelessly absurd Often meaning less Starting a fire alone Just to stay warm
Rags rattle back into style Car horns blast a while The gas can is so full But the water mane bursts dull Parades clog the screen
Cassettes spins in the alleys Broken oboes cry to make shade For the presidents' parade Stupefied by fools dancing Doctors cackles
A puddle of hope Sprung from explosion rants Trying to hide the fires in pants The mule caught on a tightrope's thoughts of a tired song
Falling apart is all we know How could we get so low Was it from a lack of patience? Or just oblivious maintenance? Leaving our worries behind as we go
Starry nights above you Looking for a snooze Liquids laugh like ooze Why even go on tonight? Bakers’ houses is burnin’
