This black tie party just reached a biblical level of indulgence. A man with half a haircut pulled a silk sheet from off the lobby's new state, and we all admired the raging bull of gold and its underlying plaque: 'The Lawrence Gilhourey Economics Analytical Center'.

Outdoor Dog
Chylde put binoculars in his backpack before leaving home. On the front porch steps, he found Bob-Arthur Royce Kennedy, his wild-eyed escape artist of a blue heeler, covered in dirt and waiting for a scratch on the head. Chylde pulled the dog by his collar through the gate at the side of the house and locked him up in the backyard.

A pock-riddled teen with yellow sweat on his cheeks came running round the sidewalk corner to hide behind an overflowing dumpster. He sat on the pavement and clogged a roll of his dirty hoodie sleeve into his mouth to cover his dry, dirty coughing. From his hoodie’s pocket, the sick boy pulled out a lump of crumpled brown paper. It held a treasure the size of a hairbrush. He peered into the square metal slot on the dumpster’s side wall meant to catch the prongs that lift the box, then he stuffed his treasure deep inside.

Armed Robbery and Some Sort of Complimentary Dessert
Bruce calculated the cost three times over in his head. He came to the same conclusion each time that one coffee, plus tax, left nothing else on the menu he could afford. So when the waitress came around again, asking what he’d like to eat, Bruce lied, “I’m not real hungry,” and simply slid the empty mug her way.

The Barn Spider
On a summer day in the mid-nineties of both time and temperature, there came a young man from the woods to inspect an old barn in a dry field. The man found the large front doors locked with a chain covered in rust but holding strong. He circled around and found a smaller door on the side whose sliding latch was guarded only by a large coil of knotted wire. This took him a short while to untangle.
