On March 8th, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 departed from Kuala Lumpur International Airport bound for Beijing Capital International Airport. However, less than an hour after takeoff, the plane vanished from radar screens, and despite an intensive multinational search effort, no trace of the aircraft has ever been found.
