Bio
Amateur writer of fiction, revisiting something I was getting quite good at as a child. I’m desperately trying to break out of society, so eventually (hopefully) there’ll be a series of shorts on making the move to off grid living.

The Fireflies. Content Warning.
The air is thick with the scent of wet earth and night-blooming jasmine. Fireflies drift like slow sparks through the cypress trees, their pale green light pulsing in lazy rhythm with the quiet chorus of frogs hidden deeper in the swamp.

99.99% Huel
I started using huel way back in the early days, somewhere between 2012 and 2014 I think. Due to working long hours in a job that provides me free food (very difficult to choose a salad over lobster or a gourmet burger!) I decided this might be for me. So I did around a month of 100% Huel. I felt the benefits as well! In the ensuing years I’ve returned to huel, but never stuck to it. In part, because the winter months weren’t catered for.

Breaking Free
The problem with living a nomadic (or semi-nomadic) life is of course, money. The root of all evil. I’ve long believed that the trick to happiness is to alleviate the need for this dirty entity. I don’t think I can think of a single problem that doesn’t have its origin in money, in some small way or other.

The Flight
The quiet and the darkness surround me. I’m sure someone, somewhere, existing in a neat cubical, processing souls into faceless numbers, Their biggest fear being an overspend on wages, a dressing down from a suit who isn’t even aware of my existence. Are They even aware of what those pennies are achieving? Are They counting the cost against each soul taken, stolen, burnt?
