The Use of Paper Clips in Offices, Schools and Other Industry
A paperclip is a simple device used to fasten sheets of printed paper to each other, generally made from steel wire shaped into a loop. Most paperclips are variations of a Gem type invented in the early 1890s or earlier, typically characterised by the two full circles on the wire that are sometimes adorned with a thin metal tab. The term paperclip has been used for a very long time, and it is one of the most common symbols for all types of printed materials such as books, magazines and other media.
