Whispers Of The Grass
As I lie upon the grass, the warm rays of sun crawling up my back and onto my neck, as I sit here oh so peacefully lying on the grass, still wet from the morning dew, I came to the realization of how humanity takes everything for granted. I almost felt sorrowful that one day humanity will not wake up and be able to feel the morning dew from the grass, how they will never again feel the sun crawling up their backs on a warm July afternoon. But although I was upset that humanity could be so oblivious to how precious life is, I couldn't help but smile and the reason is simple: I am not oblivious. I enjoy every aspect of the precious gift of living. And that's the only thing I should be thinking of at the moment. Why worry about the fate of millions of people when I, myself, am a person too?
