the bones. slave master. black people as slaves. black people till the land, produce and nurture the crops, harvest through their body. the nourishment for the white people slave masters class. the original source and tools for collecting oil. fuel. the black body. the black body is the sun. that grief avoidant white bodies pretend is not real. so they create. as all humans are apt to do. they build. from a space of being invisible to themselves. they don’t see. yet claim hardship. that comes from the method of building incomplete things.

I've know all my life. the construction and maintenance of the male ego. in society and culture. in the bodies of young and seasoned hearts. in the grammar and philosophy that lay the foundation from where your words breathe from. all angst. all energy. all the time. frenetic. always so quick to summarize. to narrow in. in order to narrow out. why.

THE FIRST NIGHT Thay say a lot. and with their heart, they say. so I say a little. and with my heart, I pray. I pray for the pain. that they say nothing about. I giggle so that I don’t cry. scream. harass them into submission of a kind. we both show up empty-handed. but because of the words that occupy our space we don’t notice. what is easily seeable. I inhale. She exhales. a heart shared. between two of a kind. the pleasure I feel, she begs for me to feel more. the power she yields, makes me soft. softer. and nicely whipped, ready to please. begging to be teased. slurred. pulled. and played with. all night.

So. I have a story for you. about my mother and the inheritance she left. There once was a young body bursting with joy who lived under the rule of a caregiver who prayed to shame for forgiveness. They hid the joy they experienced and judged it to be superficial and not godly, but they couldn’t stop being attracted to what their heart liked.

I did. I went to the park to look for a heart that dangerously resembled mine But what I found was nothing but silliness and clowning around I was fooled and lead to a place where the inner most demons came out to play. Play with the inner most feelings that were locked away Cornered and trapped I stayed but I would have rather not have came My face is now stained and forever will it remain Until the one day when my heart stops beating and my soul starts Breathing. Then I will perhaps forget the happenings that caused the stains of shame To infiltrate and change this innocent state that was the place for me I wrote poetry in an effort to cleanse my body from the impurities But what happened is that the dirt became bigger to me So harder and harder I cleaned until the pages were ripping at the seams (Then) the pin began leaking, leaking so ridiculously that I had to find something to cover up everything To cover the shameful deeds, One day my heart will stop beating and my soul will began Breathing and I will know that I have found the heart of my dreams but until I taste that Butterfinger and popcorn mix I will remain ashamed every time I enter the park place of this Monopoly game.
