The āGame of Thronesā Opening Titles & Theme Music - composed by Ramin Djawadi āIt can be very dark and moody, but also beautiful and emotional at the same timeā. - Ramin Djawadi on the opening titles theme.
This is just a little recap (and links to my original critiques) of last yearās challenge. Iāve been meaning to do this for a while and have just been slack. I liked the challenge because I was able to tap into my love of reviewing films etc. I also chose to write in free verse (rule breaker) to help me separate my ideas more clearly & write sparingly, given the 50 word requirement.
Quick note: As Alfred Hitchcock has always been my favourite film director from a young age - I thought it would be fun to comment on a few of my favourites, but not give too much away - perhaps whetting oneās appetite to seek out the films again. Iāve always found his films captivating. I remember watching āThe Man Who Knew Too Muchā and āRear Windowā on T.V when I was about seven or eight and repeatedly loving these. The combination of mystery, suspense and biting wit, along with likable characters that you root for from the get go.

Quick note: I believe this is my first ever micro. Remember the ring finger unofficial challenge? I have no idea what this is that I wrote haha, but it helps if you have seen the movie āThe Banshees of Inishirinā with Brendan Gleeson. I wanted to have some characterisation so this went way over the word count of the micro.. so then I chose not to shorten it or share it. š Anyhow, enjoy.

Quick note: Iām trying to clear out my WIP š§. Itās getting too chaotic. So am unloading some garbage, I mean stuff I was not big on. I didnāt really like this distraction entry as it felt too negative, while it has a message, um.. I definitely donāt recommend destitution! š I also donāt think my words for each letter REALLY match the theme. Enjoy, or not. I donāt care!
Quick note: If you would like to have a go you can read Rickās here and copy the list of questions in the later part of his piece. I started this a couple of weeks ago and only just got around to finishing.

You sometimes dream of the mystical tree and its healing properties contained in the the flowers. You are now capable of channeling these energies

Quick Note: As I was writing this I started thinking how preachy it might sound, but ultimately itās really a message to me and whomever else might be listening. Iād been thinking of self-sabotage a lot the last week in many areas of my life..and came to a few realisations about why I do some things in the way that I do.. i.e operating out of fear rather than confidence etc and thus not attracting many good things because I donāt feel good enough. I think, for some, this is an unfortunate common thread in todayās society and greatly ties in with our true identities versus our perceived shortcomings which lead us to think of ourselves falsely.
