Why is this strange Dutch linden park doing in a small town in Eastern Europe?
A Glimpse into the Past: The History of Lindes Muižas Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Latvia's Aizkraukle region, the Lindes Muižas Park serves as a serene gateway to the past. Developed between 1767 and 1772, the park originally surrounded the grand Lindes Manor, owned by the noble von Plettenberg family. This majestic estate, a symbol of the region's historical wealth and cultural heritage, was tragically bombarded during the First World War, leading to its ruin. Despite this, the park has stood the test of time, preserving the manor's legacy through its enduring beauty and historical significance.
