Life of a Single Mom
I found of I was pregnant October 21st 2019, my pregnancy was unplanned. I really thought that if I ever got pregnant unmarried and unplanned that the man would stay around and be there for me, well I was wrong. Here's the story of my pregnancy and birth. I stayed at the fathers place for a month we were planning on getting married back in January this year that didn't go as planned because the whole week leading up to it he just argued with me and didn't really want to be involved with baby clothes shopping since he was leaving for the military the next month. He was very unfair on the way he treated me, I ended up paying for his two months of rent, food, and things to get at the mall. He left for basic training and I went back to my parents house and have been here ever since, which I plan on moving out as soon as I can. I went to my appointments with the doctors, they diagnosed me with hemorrhage in my placenta but that healed on its own, which was fantastic. I went to the ER a few times since the symptoms I was having during each visit had me go due to the on call nurse telling me to go to make sure everything was okay with my baby. When I was 19 weeks I had my ultrasound to see the gender of the baby which I was having boy, I remember the night before going to the appointment I was taking a shower and I felt my baby kick for the very first time I was so wonderful. His kicks were so powerful, he would kick for 30 minutes at a time and even when I wanted to go to sleep it was hard. During the rest of my pregnancy the father wasn't really interested in it, he didn't really offer to buy baby things since he was getting a paycheck during basic. We sent letters back and forth to each other and maybe like three were about our son the rest was just him trying to get back with me which I didn't want to since all the stress he put me through during the time he was here. Enough of the sad story, I was in a lot of pain during my pregnancy since my son weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz. During the last weeks of my pregnancy I had to go every week to make sure baby was okay and to check if I dilated or not which I was 2cm both visits. Me and my doctor decided to have a C-section instead of vaginal birth since how big my son was, the C-section was the next day at 7 am. The C-section took 45 minutes to and hour for my son to be born, I stayed at the hospital for 3 days so they can check my stitches and make sure me and him were doing great. We left a Sunday morning and went home, the recovery process was long but wasn't that bad, I had a hard time latching my son at the hospital and even at home since the way my nipples were so I am feeding him formula which isn't bad. The next time I want another child I do want to decide and breastfeed. This story might have been mumble jumble but that is kind of how my thought process works, I didn't want to go too in-depth with my story since my viewpoint of it is different then my family members and friends that were involved.
