Stoic Paradise
He sat alone in a dark room face planting his desk. His arm was still hurting… but otherwise would be fine. Around him were papers recklessly smattered around the room: some were government issued, some were personal notes, and some… were pictures… of a child.

Last Stand
There weren’t always dragons in the valley… There were first humans… humans fighting each other. The first thing she noticed were the crystals falling on her cheek. She slowly opened her eyes to reveal a gray sparkly sky that captivated her. It was so quiet... After a moment of staring she attempted to gather her thoughts until she noticed... She was on sand. Ignoring the impossible thought of light snow falling in a desert or beach, she sat up and was instantly zapped with a searing pain in her head… Had she been unconscious instead of asleep? Her hair was neatly put into a single long braid...

Shattered Stars
There weren’t always dragons in the valley… but there were always flowers. I walked throughout a meadow- and basked in the glory that surrounded me… far ahead of me, the trees split the sky and the field I stood in. The sky was completely clear- almost uncomfortably so. Flowers filled the grass at my feet, and I joyfully laid in them. Nature was one of the things I loved so much- an endless paradise surrounded me, and too did a feeling of euphoria- far from unusual, but in this case it was almost suspiciously so. A soft breeze started enveloping the area. My eyes opened back up at this, and I sat up glancing to where the wind blew… “Wind?”
