In the Arctic region, the sun was beginning to set, casting a glow over the vast expanse of ice. The silence was interrupted by the sound of a mother polar bear and her two cubs padding cautiously along the ice sheet. The mother bear sniffed the air for the scent of prey in the hope of providing a meal for her cubs, but there was nothing. The sight that greeted her was the same as the previous days, miles of melting sea ice, interrupted only by the occasional chunk of broken ice that drifted past.
