THE QUANTUM COMPUTER
The night was thick with an almost palpable energy, as if the very air was charged with anticipation. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the city in a deep, inky dark blue, Edwin found himself standing at the edge of a precipice—both literally and metaphorically. The rooftop of his apartment building offered a panoramic view of the chaos below: a city that never slept, the "Big Apple," New York City, where neon lights flickered and shadows danced until morning.

My First Time Closing the Family Business: The Dolphin Car Wash
My name is Michael Holbert and was 18 when my father asked me to take on the responsibility of closing the car wash for the first time. My father had planned an early exit to get a head start on a fishing trip with his buddies at a lake 30 miles away. Since cell phones hadn’t been invented yet, my father made it clear to me that he wouldn’t be reachable once he was on the lake. This left me in charge of all the closing duties, a task filled with many responsibilities I’d never tackled before.

A HOLY PEAR-ING

With the reduction of the Covid-19 restrictions, the venders at the local produce markets had returned to peddle their goods. I would like to mention, my father was a chef; thus, I was brought up with the mindset to purchase fresh produce to enhance the flavor of a meal.

THE GREEN LIGHT INCIDENT
I'm writing a story that I promised myself that I would never share with anyone. However, I think that you and I are friends, so I’m going to share it with you. You must promise not to tell anyone. I don’t want to get in trouble with the authorities. I’m the Chronicler and I collect and tell stories from people I meet and from predicaments that I have personally experienced.

THAT'S A BUNCH OF BULL
Covid is still being covid, and I was feeling a bit cooped up in the house. It was time for me to do something I had not done in a while like visiting a Sports Bar. A Sports Bar is the perfect place to visit during Olympic competitions. There is only one problem, choosing a sport, there are so many channels and so many events to watch. Nevertheless, it is a good problem, just being among fellow sportsmen and women is reward enough. Entering the bar, I noticed the atmosphere was very jubilant and festive. In the background, there was an assortment of TVs with various Olympic programming.
