The Twelve Days of Choir
Day One Why did Mama sign me up for this choir camp anyway?! Is it because it's a holiday thing? Where we sing about Christ and Christmas and all that other stuff? Blegh. I'm not even that good. I only got put on one piece - The Twelve Days of Christmas - and everyday we're talking about each object we sing about. Today was about the partridge in a pear tree. They didn't even explain what a PARTRIDE is! The other items make sense (I guess), but what does a pear tree have to do with anything?

The pond had frozen over. Villagers emerged from their huts, ready to escape the scalding summer heat with a cool dip in the body of water, to only find it a block of ice. Women shouted in fear, men grabbed their hatchets and children were in blissful ignorance.

Stubborn Like a Bull
I knew this day would eventually come. Walking down the dirt road, making note of the large bright orb in the sky, heat rolling off the rice fields, I walked the lonesome half mile to GT's farmhouse and acres upon acres of animal fields. With each step, I felt the nervous jitters rise from my toes up to my gut, and finally forming into a pounding headache. Or was it the heat getting to me?

Subnautica: Below Zero
Last month, I had the pleasure of finishing Subnautica: Below Zero off on stream, taking only 24 hours to finish once through (which is substantially shorter than my first completed playtime for Subnautica), and without any additional base building. Given that there's lot of discourse about the game in comparison to the original, I'm throwing my hat in the ring about my opinions. This review will contain the following segments: Plot Summary, Characters, Gameplay and Mechanics, Story Theming, Pros and Cons, Extra Tidbits, and Overall Review. This was the worst birthday ever. Of course, some chick at school mocked me for Dad being a 'bad cop', whatever that meant. I came home with a couple bruises on my face and a detention slip. I was unaware Dad already knew.

The Second Stash
The trail of dusty brown soil and pebbles turned into untrimmed weeds and boulders as it disappeared, meaning the rest of the path was never traversed, or hasn't been in years. Dawning hiking boots, Ranger 4 easily scaled the uneven layer of rocks that now lay on the tree cleared path, keeping his original pace. It wouldn't be long until they'd comb the forest. He had to find shelter.

The Last Light Out of Town
It sits. And it waits. Shrouded in fog, the slowly changing colors muted by the moisture that hung low. Street lights refracting off the crystals, giving the aura of pure mystery. Beyond the light, dead ahead, was darkness. A lone road, leading away from the safety of neighborhood homes and the cozy convenience store that sat at the corner, and to the unknowns of dark country roads, forbidden houses spread apart across miles of foliage.
