School? Nah, I Think Starbucks Instead
Let me set the stage: I graduated high school in 2013 and my senior year was...a challenge. Too Sick To Work
I'm…frustrated. (To put it mildly.) I'm frustrated with myself. I have been so sick, for so long, and it affects my quality of life every single day. But…probably not in the ways you'd think. Or should I say not just in the ways you think. Yes, I'm in pain every day. Yes, I'm exhausted after the simplest of tasks. Yes, I sleep all the time. But right now, none of that is what's bothering me. Online colleges are often regarded as an option solely for returning students. And in many ways, that is correct. A large percentage of my classmates, including myself, are adults who are looking to start or finish a degree many years after graduating from high school. But there is nothing that says only returning adult learners can attend an online college.
