A Duel with Hypn-a-gogic

I was in my room, in Mbise a not so remote African not rally a village, nestled beneath the sprawling canopy of ancient trees, I had never experienced a night of terror like that night. The air was supposed to be thick with the fragrance of blooming flora, and the distant chirping of nocturnal creatures should serenade the night. Yet, an ominous unease hung in the atmosphere, maybe foreshadowing the horrors that would soon unfold in the twisted corridors of my dreams or probably I was already living the nightmare .
