A Dragon's Gem

A full moon shone in the sky above, and the woods laid in a peaceful silence. Creatures of the night scurried about, searching for prey or a place to hide. Any noise lasted only a moment, even the large whoosh of wind from above the trees didn’t last long. These large gusts came from the large and leathery wings of a dragon. His body a crimson red, and his scales seemed to shine like rubies when bathed in the moonlight. He flew over the trees towards the towering mountains, a bundle of cloth hanging from his neck.
