That moment it can all change

Just waking up after a much needed night sleep. Looking out the window wondering what my day would bring, kids up as usual making noise I guess I’ll go run errands. You never think your life would change In a matter of seconds seconds that would be most remembered. ShopRite it is theses kids can eat I tell you. Sun beaming but the wind is so strong. Pulling in the parking lot it’s like picking my brain knowing I should just park but I just have to be close to the entrance. My mom always told me when you walk you always look on the ground because you never know what you may fine. Getting out the car ready to shop till I drop in the supermarket , walking And Scouring the ground like the dog sniffing to find a place to take a tinkle. Never would I have thought on this day It can change my life in ways no one will understand.Walking as I’m looking and I turn to the right and look down and I see this black book me thinking nothing of it but I’m always picking up stuff you know that looks like maybe, it’s something but maybe not but I still have to check. So I picked it up and it has A address but it also have all these numbers,, double digits single digits like it was very important to have. There was a name Nora Delmonte and she wrote If lost and if found contact me at 1-203-589-2032. Usually with things like this I’ll toss it away and forget about it something something so deep tell me this person needed this back so I went on to do my shopping ,over shopping ,tons of bags but I know I’m the mother they are the kids and they have to listen so I barely touch bags so I don’t complain when I go over Bored. Finally getting home putting the key in the door and yelling up the stairs kids come get these bags Yeah I hear oh boy, I don’t want to I don’t feel like it but guess what it gets done thanks Kids. So I Sit in my driveway in my car just looking at this black book with all these different numbers And I decide to call the owner And let them know that I found their book. As I dial the number and wait for the phone to ring and for someone to pick up a voice that was so pleasant and beautiful Answer “ Hello” and I reply by saying “Hi my name is Briella And I believe I found something that belongs to you a small black book” All you here on the other end of the phone is “oh my dear thank you so much I’ve been looking for it and couldn’t find it must of fell out of my purse where did you find it” I let her know I found it outside of ShopRite. I asked how would you like to retrieve your black book she stated “ Miss Briella you can come to my home to drop it off and for me to properly meet you and thank you. Ms Nora told me her address and I was on my way. She didn’t live to far so it was ok with me. I thought I would just ring the doorbell drop it off and go about my business but it did not go as planed. Pulling up at her home a delightful Scenery she had a beautiful home as I ring the doorbell and wait for someone to answer I hear A soft spoken voice ask who is it. I said my name and she immediately opens the door and offer me to come in. She asked me to have a seat and I’m like oh no I just wanted to bring you your property that’s all Miss Nora she go on to say no please I insist. So I sit on her Antique couch something back in like the early 1900s or maybe I’m just over Exaggerating but it was marvelous . Miss Nora offers me a cup of tea I said yes of course . As we sitting down she stated she just wanted to thank me and let me know how humble she is to have her black book back , and I say “of course you’re welcome it’s yours and I felt like you needed it so that’s why I bought it back.”She goes on to say yeah this book been a part of me for so long these numbers been a part of my family for so long. These are numbers that were passed down by my grandmother to my mother and to me these numbers are very magical and very powerful in my family. So I asked what are these numbers Miss Nora she stated these are numbers that we play in the lottery and for my grandmother and my mother these have been numbers that was proven to be winning numbers and my mom passed it to me. Unfortunately I haven’t won anything yet but I believe these numbers may bring some type of wealth in my life as it did for my mother and grandmother. Miss Nora asked me what would you do if you won the lottery I told her everything I could for my children to be able to leave them so much when I die and I won’t have to worry about them struggling and needing help from anyone and Of course taking care of family that help take care of me and my children And give back to my community. Miss Nora Just looked at me Like she was amazed and said you are very caring Briella I can see it. So She told me go ahead and pick some numbers out the book I think we should go play the lottery I think it’s too special of a day to not play the lottery I told her I’m not lucky with that I’m not lucky at all. Miss Nora goes on to say well let’s try that luck today so I picked out the numbers for her and I let her know it was beautiful to meet her and I went on home I’m not thinking nothing of it just happy I was able to bring her back what she lost. Finally Home starting dinner getting these kids ready for virtual learning in the AM they not even in school and I have to get ready for work in the morning. I get up early but I still seem to always almost be running late for work. Today was not the best but it was not the worst it was OK on my way driving home I would love to drive home it’s like a breath of fresh air every time. Living life loving life and being grateful for what life have given me so far coming home to these wild kids starting my dinner preparing myself for work again tomorrow you never know what can change your life in a split of a moment. Days go by and My phone ring it’s Miss Nora happy to hear her voice hey Miss Nora how are you she said Briella I have such wonderful news I’m like really wow what is it she says it’s too good to tell you over the phone I would like if you can come to my house I’m like oh Miss Nora you know I’m cooking can it wait till tomorrow she said no I can’t wait I’m so excited can you please come Briella so I’m like oh OK just give me a little second I’ll be there Not knowing my life will change in a matter of a seconds hearing the news that she has for me. Finally finished dinner the kids are in their rooms so I’ll get prepared to go to Miss Nora house. I arrive to Miss Nora house in my head I’m like what could it be you know we just met couple of days ago i did a good deed for her what could it possibly be so I go on to ring the doorbell and she was so happy to see me when she open the door and she was like you have a seat I’m like OK no problem. That’s when she says what if I told you the numbers you picked out of my black book came out in lottery today I said oh Really today she said Really I said well that’s good for you Miss Nora I’m so happy that I can be such a blessing to you she said yes you are a blessing to me and I want you to have a part of it I said oh no oh no Miss Nora that’s not why I participated you asked me to give you some numbers out your book and that’s what it was it wasn’t for me to get anything out of it. Miss Nora says I know and without the numbers you pick I probably wouldn’t have won anything so I would like to share it with you tears start falling Down my eyes and I told Miss Nora no one have thought of me in this way besides my mom I can’t I can’t take it Miss Nora stated yes you can it will put you in a position to help your children and I know that it’s very important to you tears start flowing down my eyes and I look at Miss Nora and tears flowing down her face, still never would I have thought in a million years being a kind person that I am that it would make someone do something like this for me I don’t know what to say. Miss Nora said you don’t have to say anything I can see it through your eyes. She went on to say $60,000 is what we won and I would love if I can give you half of it you deserve it I couldn’t believe it can’t believe it money that I know I deeply need and I felt like I shouldn’t take it. My life changed this very moment maybe this was destined for me maybe it was God way of telling me everything was gonna be all right so Miss Nora told me just be happy when everything goes through I’ll call you and you can come get whats yours all I can do is hug her so tight so tight and say thank you so much I couldn’t even go to sleep when I got home It just was on my mind like I can’t imagine it being someone else It just had to be me. Two days later it was my day off it was A Tuesday and I received a call from Miss Nora she said where do you live and of course I told her she said I would love to come to your home and see you I said of course of course OK. An hour went by and I heard my doorbell I go downstairs and I ask who it is and Miss Nora said it’s me Miss Nora and I open the door I said Hey Muss Nora come on you’re welcome to come in and she said no dear I just came to give you something I said oh Miss Nora you can come in she said no I just wanted to give you this she gave me an envelope and she said You are magnificent Briella and I thank God for him bringing you into my life it wasn’t just about the black book it was about kindness and a beautiful heart and that’s all. Thank you Briella for everything you open my eyes just know you can always call me and one call away and she gave me a hug and got in her car and drove away I close the house door and went upstairs went in my room and closeed my door and sat on my bed and open the envelope there was money but also I noticed a note Miss Nora left a note and it said you are my life saver You gave me hope when I didn’t have any thank you. I can’t believe it I met someone so remarkable like Miss Nora she also changed my life. I didn’t even count the money I just wanted to take it to the bank and deposit. I did not want to have loose money didn’t want to go spending crazy I wanted it to be a steppingstone for me and my kids. I hoped in my car to go to the bank and after them counting the money the teller said well altogether you have $30,000 and I couldn’t believe it because all I had was $230 prior to this and now I have $30,230 wow God is so good you never know when things will change in your life in a matter of seconds.
