Movies I absolutely love, but I HATE watching
It's been quite a while since I've talked about movies hasn't it? You might be asking yourself now, "Dyllon, why don't you like watching movies that you like? That sounds completely contradictory.". Trust me I'm aware of how it sounds and it's not click bait either. I do love every single one of these films but every time they come on I just think to myself "Oh boy, strap in. It's (insert film here)". Again you'll understand once you start reading.

AMWF relationships
With over 60K articles written in the humans community, I've seen a few articles discussing AAIP, Asian hate, and some articles discussing the fetishization of Asian women. All important topics to discuss, however. When I looked up the phrase AMWF here on vocal, there were no responses. Now let me explain what the phrase AMWF stands for/means. AMWF is an acronym for "Asian Male Western Female". It's as the name implies, an Asian man and a "Western" female relationship.

What we do in the shadows
Taika is absolutely hilarious. People seem to forget that after Thor 4. If you need a reminder, I highly recommend watching "What We Do in The Shadows". I get it, it can be a niche comedy. But when you get a chance, watch this film! Hurry up with "We'rewolves" already!

Supporting women's sports
It takes a staggering two seconds of looking at my profile, to see that I love sports. Basically any sport, minus soccer, if it's on I'm watching it. Hockey will always be at the top of the mountain, again no surprise there. However something I've noticed throughout the years, which really shouldn't be the case. I'm weirdly in the minority of sports fans, as someone who loves male and female sports. If you don't appreciate the product fine, I get it. But if there's something I absolutely cannot stand, it's all the hate women's sports gets by "sports fans" because it's cool to hate. It's cool to spread negativity. Unfortunately the WNBA gets the absolute brunt of this negativity with WMMA not too far behind. I see so many people's fight prediction cards with "bathroom break" over the WMMA fights on the card. Whatever bud, do you I guess.

The Big Short
An absolute rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish; dread, hopelessness, defeat, excitement, hope ironically enough. The Big Short has it all. A fantastic, hilarious, tragic film that's able to simplify complex wall street vocabulary, into an easily digestible and understandable message about greed and corruption. Please, watch this film.

Peacemaker
And we're back to me talking about John Cena. I'm so glad he took the leap to hollywood. John is an incredible actor and absolutely hilarious. Yeah he's had some blunders in the past. Peacemaker is not one of them. Hilarious, violent, and shockingly deep when it wants to be.

Marvel Multiverse Saga so far
As a friendly reminder, we're currently in the Mulitverse Saga of the MCU. I loved the Infinity Saga from start to finish. Very few blemishes. However, so far the multiverse saga has been immensely disappointing. A pitiful ratio of good/bad projects and horrible CGI. I really hope this changes soon.

Shoresy
Even if you're not a hockey fan, Shoresy is a show I recommend for anyone and everyone. Granted you can get lost in a lot of the dialogue because well, Canada and Hockey. But even with just 1 season so far, you need to watch Shoresy. Hilarious, heartwarming, and intriguing.

Animal farm
I never liked reading in school. However one book I hope never leaves the curriculum is Animal Farm. Beowulf, The Most Dangerous game, The Crucible, don't even come close. I'll be honest I can't explain why it's stuck with me ever since. The symbolism sure, but there's just something more.

Arkham series
The Batman Arkham series is without question the most flawless videogame franchise in history. This series, should be the gold standard for videogames. A great story across many games and even the comics, great mechanics, great voice acting, and a franchise that always upped the ante with each new release.

Cobra Kai
This show has been absolutely incredible. From a humbling start on Youtube Red, to finishing on top on Netflix on their terms. This show has found great ways to blend old and new, stay fresh, and honor their roots while adapting to the times and making great, relevant social commentary.

Trainwreck
Trainwreck is without question my favorite movie from Amy Schumer. It's a very charming film, with a great story, and a great backstory showing why the character is the way she is, but without pointing blame. It's absolutely hilarious and John Cena is incredible in this film. Very underrated film.
