Behind the Veil
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. It was subtle at first, a slight distortion, but it was definitely there. I tried to shake it off, dismissing it as a trick of the light or my imagination gone wild. But each time I looked in the mirror, the reflection became more and more vivid until it was undeniably a different person staring back at me. It was a woman, with dark hair and piercing blue eyes. She looked practically identical to me, except for one thing - her expression. It was sinister, a twisted grin that sent shivers down my spine.
