Boys will be Boys
I had an enchanting childhood... I wish I could say the same of adulthood... Craig and I were on an insatiable quest for adventure. It wasn't merely a desire to "do something" or "eradicate boredom"; we had discovered there was a world, and we were compelled by some abstruse, unidentifiable force to explore it...all of it!

Failure
Tom was just like any middle-class kid. He was a good football, basketball and baseball player. His first year of playing organized tackle football he won most valuable offensive player on his sophomore high school team. He made 46 of 50 free throws in a youth basketball competition and was always starting point guard for whatever team he played on. He pitched a perfect game in youth baseball and started in center field batting .632 for his high school JV team his junior year.

Bull vs Bear
My name is Buck, I was born in Kirtland Ohio on January 11, 1834. I have had anything but an ordinary life. My mother was raped and killed by Indians in 1848 while our family was crossing the plains headed for California. Gordon, my father, is all I got. He's a hard working, intelligent, talkative man that just seems unable to catch a break. Our current dwelling, San Francisco, is the fifth place I have lived in during my short life. My father's ancestry is a European melting pot. Perhaps that is why he never seems satisfied settling in one place. I hope we stay in San Francisco. I love it here. I'm never cold here like the other places we've lived. Even though the snow of Ohio is both beautiful and magical and autumn in Missouri will take your breath away, they don't compare to the ocean. Never have I felt more alive!

In great need of an adventure, I called the number on the Ad. The phone was answered by what sounded like a very attractive woman named Sophia. Hello, may I help you? she responded. I'm calling in response to your solicitation for a Bilingual Assistant to accompany you on the adventure of a lifetime!

Stop...Think...Act!
Have you ever pondered the purpose of life? If I didn't know: where I came from, why I am here and where I have the opportunity to go after this life, I would be a complete mess physically, spiritually, emotionally and mentally. Because Vocal has a strict policy against assertions of personal beliefs and does not accept any content that takes a religious stance of any kind, I will refrain from answering the three questions above; However, knowing the answer to those questions, has literally saved my life! I tell you as sure as the sun will rise tomorrow that I would not be writing this story without that knowledge. Not knowing the answer to those three questions is a large contributor to why there is so much dis-ease in the world today.
