The Amalgamation Game
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. Tonight was a special occasion though. Sometimes the clouds took on the shapes of enormous animals as they danced across the heavens. And tonight, they were Emily's favorites... dragons!

Man's Best Friend . Top Story - March 2023.
My humans left for their day jobs just now and that means I can curl up on their bed in comfort without getting caught. There is a crate in the living room and several cozy floor rugs where I could spend the lonely hours, but let's be honest. Is the floor or a cage really the place for man's best friend? I guess my recently adopted sibling, Teddy, can go in the crate if he wants, but I'm staying on the bed!

Hey YOU! STOP IT!
Last night, I finally submitted my first story for the Tall Tail challenge. It took me a long time to research and get right and I am super proud of it, actually. Vocal says it has a 4 minute read time, although, in reality it takes me closer to 2 minutes. I'm a fast reader, as many of you are, I'm sure! Whatever, that's fine if every single read doesn't count. I enjoy the interaction with other authors in the comments more anyway!

What the F is Magical Realism?. Top Story - March 2023.
Every night at midnight, the purple clouds came out to dance with the blushing sky. "Ummm...what the heck did I just read?" Zirin's Quest
TIME: now, sometime after midnight PLACE: somewhere over the ocean Zirin's wings rippled in the cold, damp air. He extended and curled his talons a few times to restore some blood flow and shook his enormous head back and forth rapidly to clear the fog that had begun to settle deeper into his brain. This was by far the longest flight he had ever attempted. For the first several hours he had been filled with exhilaration and a sense of pride in himself as an intrepid adventurer off on a quest...now he was just filled with mind numbing fatigue and a sense of dread and deja vu at every swelling wave that passed below.
