After finally reaching the library, which Tristan felt like they were walking forever, Farrah stopped Tristan at the door. “Now look T.C, I haven’t told Mrs. McLeary that I was bringing anyone. So when we go in let me do all the talking and pretend you don’t know that the book is one of her own.” Tristan was confused. “Wait, why do I have to pretend I don’t know the book is hers? And why am I not allowed to speak?” He asked. Farrah sighed “Well, there’s some type of rule saying that she’s not allowed to give books that are not for sale while she’s working. It’s sort of like working at a store where you sell the company’s product. You can only sell their product on their property. Selling your own stuff on their property would be wrong. Get it?” Farrah looked at Tristan, who looked like he only got half of what she was saying. “But she’s not selling you the book. She’s lending you the book.” Tristan corrected. “Yes T.C, that’s correct but either way it’s not property of the library and she is an employee, so it would be wrong.” Farrah explained. They both looked at each other for a bit. Farrah hoped she had finally gotten through to him. “Oh! Okay, I understand now. Fine, I won’t say a word!” Tristan pretended to zip and lock his mouth shut. He then pretended to throw the imaginary key far off, turned and smiled at Farrah goofily. “Oh stop it. Come on let's go get that book. You’re such a goofball.” Farrah chuckled.

The Red Brick Road
The rest of the day went by quickly. I ended up just hiding out in the computer lab for lunch, because I didn’t want to run into Justin in the cafeteria. I also didn’t want to sit with Eliza and Jen, because I knew Jen was still crying over that dude she went out with, and I knew that Eliza would just get on my nerves the entire time. Her constant coddling, and mother like nonsense when it came to Jen. Everything else afterwards was a blur.

Little Black Book of Choices
$20,000, that’s a whole lot of money, isn’t it? What would you do for that much money? How far would you go to make sure that money was yours? I’m guessing pretty far, am I right? I should’ve asked myself just how far was I willing to go for $20,000. I can tell you now, it wasn’t worth what I did for that money. If I could go back and change my mind; if I could only go back and tell myself not to answer the door. I should’ve never picked up that notebook. That little black notebook.

Farrah and Tristan were walking home from their last day of school. They had successfully finished the puzzle that Barton had given them. In fact they finished it so easily they left Barton standing there shocked. "Did you see the look on Barton’s face when I handed him the wooden puzzle box open?" Farrah said busting out laughing. "Yeah, he looked like he'd seen a ghost!" Tristan added laughing as well. They stopped laughing and walked in silence for a bit. Tristan broke the silence first, looked her way and said "You know, we make a great team." She smiled to herself and said "We sure do. I don't know what I'd do without you around to help me with some of the puzzles I've encountered." Farrah replied. "Yeah, I know. Same here. I think we both help each other out that way." He said. "Oh most definitely!" Farrah exclaimed. "I'm good at some facts and actually working on the task at hand. While you're good at older facts that I forget and you're good at analyzing a situation too." She explained. It was true; they each had different qualities and strengths that made them the perfect duo. "Oh, I almost forgot! I have to go to the library to drop this book off!" Farrah said. "Oh for goodness sakes Farrah, you borrowed another book?" Tristan whined. Farrah always enjoyed reading a good book. But not just any book, she always enjoyed a good mystery book, preferably Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes was her role model. She always considered herself as Sherlock Holmes while Tristan was John Watson. She often thought of Sherlock Holmes as her idol because he was so good with logical reasoning and he was a detective. Farrah's number one dream was to become a detective. Of course she knew that Sherlock Holmes was a fictional character but she always thought that he could still be a role model regardless.

"You don't know what you're doing do you?" Barton asked impatiently. Everyone in the class gathered around to see what was going on. It was the last day of school for the students of Prescott Manford Preparatory School, and the students were waiting for the bell to ring. The bell of freedom, the bell that will officially start summer vacation. "Yes, Barton, I do! Now stand aside, and let me work! Sheesh!" Farrah yelled. Farrah was in the middle of solving a puzzle, in which she had to open a small wooden box that had what seemed to be an impossibly challenging opening. Farrah was best known as "The Puzzle Cracker" or "The Mystery Solver" around the school. If a student needed help solving anything, Farrah would be the one they'd go to. She was tall and slim, with thick jet black hair that she often just put up in a ponytail or a messy bun when she was in the middle of solving a puzzle. She was always up for a challenge, and there really wasn't a puzzle that she couldn't solve.

Most people, well everyone I should hope, knows the story “The Wizard of Oz”. You know, the country Kansas girl with her dog? Big twister? Lands in a magical place “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”? Yada, yada, yada, you get the idea! Anyway, this isn’t her story, it’s mine, and I can already tell you that my story is far more exciting than hers. Ladies and gents, my name is Sabrina Nichols, and this is the story of how I died in Oz. Yes, you heard me, I died in Oz. This means of course I went to Oz, okay look let me just tell you the story and it’ll all be clear.
