The Memory When I was a child I killed someone. It’s a clear childhood memory that's surrounded by a black halo. It is compact and complete, with a beginning, middle, and an end. At times I’ll be somewhere, smell, or see something, that brings me back to that day. I hear screams suffocated by water. Water that is so loud it makes things quiet.
