Let me keep it all the way real with you. I’ve tried it all—every cleanse, every fast, every “this will change your life” wellness trend that promised to scrub the pain and pressure off my spirit. Herbal teas, juice-only days, detox smoothies that taste like grass clippings and regret. I sipped, I steamed, I starved myself in the name of starting fresh. I wanted a clean slate. I wanted peace. I wanted healing.
