Traveling to the City of Love with Little Time is Not a Good Idea
Our Flight Our trip to Paris, France, in late September and early October 2014 was short 8-day trip-3 days in Paris and 3-days in London. We flew through Delta and Air France, both quite comfortable airlines. Since we are both tall people we upgraded to business for more legroom. The seats were comfortable, and the flight, even though long, was quite pleasant. The food was as good as it gets on an airplane, and the crew was polite. We arrived at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 2:00 p.m. where there was a shuttle waiting for us. The weather was in the high 50s and low 60s. Just perfect for walking extended hours anywhere from 8 to 12 per day.

What Will the New Year Bring Us?
2020 Be Gone! It’s the last day of the year 2020—the year of the global pandemic, COVID-19. It's new year’s eve and everyone is looking forward to the beginning of 2021, new hopes, new dreams, and new ventures. The social media venues are full of posts condemning 2020. The year 2020 brought so much heartache, hatred, disappointment, and loss to so many. Loss of lives, jobs, homes, and dreams.

The Little Guys Have Just as Much as the Big Guys
Wow! It’s that time of the year again. People are scrambling to get their shopping done through the chaotic COVID-19 moments. Most have opted for online shopping, which is a great option. There are so many pros to shopping online:

The Current Effects of Evolution on Our Christmas Traditions
Nostalgic but Fond Memories Today I received a video through my Facebook Messenger. The video is about a Christmas tradition in Puerto Rico. This tradition is a “parranda.” It brought many memories from when I was young. It was also very nostalgic for us - my husband included. We enjoyed the full 7-minute video and reminisced about that time in our lives.

Enjoy the Free Gifts Life Has to Offer
I Never Appreciated It As I Should Nature is the most beautiful and relaxing way to destress, and it is free! Too often we take life for granted. Unfortunately, not everyone appreciates it. I used to be one of those people. When my husband and I got married, we rented an apartment in a condo at the beach in Puerto Rico. Back then, I did not think it was a big deal. Puerto Rico is surrounded by beautiful beaches, which are easily accessible from anywhere on the island. But other than to dip our feet in the water every few months, we did nothing else at the beach and we lived there for a year.

How Aromatic Candles can Set the Mood for Whatever You Want
No Candles at Home I recently began using scented candles in my home. I stopped using these about 15 years ago because my husband could not stand the scented candles. He claimed these scents triggered migraine headaches. Of course, I did not want my husband to suffer through these horrific headaches, so I opted to not use them anymore. But, while at the Farmer and Artisan’s Marketplace in Kissimmee, Florida, I came across a kiosk of locally hand-poured candles by the name of Vista Candle Co. Since I no longer bought scented candles, I thought it’d be nice to just take a whiff of the aromatic candles.

The Party Never Stops in Madrid
A Bustling City Full of Life They say that the party never stops in Madrid. Madrid is a bustling city full of life and a great atmosphere. In the heart of Madrid, the streets are lined with restaurants, pubs, shops, hotels and so much more. The metro system is easily accessible, therefore you need not rent a vehicle to get around.

Living With a Dog Who Stole Our Heart
My Heart Melts I’m sitting on the sofa cuddling my precious dog, Chewy, while he lies on my lap. I can’t help but smile with the loving feeling that takes over me while I stroke his soft back. He sleeps so innocently and his snoring just broadens my smile. I love my husband dearly, but I have to admit that Chewy’s snoring is the only one that brings a smile to my face. Even though my leg feels numb, I can’t bear to move because I don’t want to disrupt his rest.

Neurotic Family Member Shares His Conspiracy Theories on Politics and COVID-19
This year has been chaotic for many people. Tensions are running high, a lot of anger everywhere, and to top it off, it's an election year. I'm not a person who knows a lot about politics, and I prefer to keep my political views to myself. I don't vote for any party. I prefer to study what each candidate has to offer and use my gut instinct to comply with my civil duty of voting, and that is about it. But what I've seen this year among family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers regarding politics and COVID-19 is just atrocious.

Seeking Healing Through Laying on of Hands
I Healed with Laying on of Hands Healing I healed a torn tendon with energy healing using my hands. Yes, it may sound ridiculous to you, but it's true. This healing practice has been used for centuries. Some call it Reiki Healing but for us, in the spiritualist church it is Laying on of Hands. So, what happened to me?
