A Terrible Storm
Lightning struck across the sky, forking off into different directions- seeming random. The current that it carried was so strong, that the drops of rain that fell from the burdened clouds evaporated in its wake. It painted the dark sky, which was a backdrop of absolute black.

Faylanduil the Great looked down amidst the pitched night, his sight undiminished, as he beheld the small human child. Katydids and crickets cut through the humid darkness, a blanket of noise that enveloped the two beings that stared at one another, both unsure of what to make of the other.

Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. The cold, unyielding, emaciated hand of space grabbed at the occupants within the control room, pulling them out with force immeasurable. Faces twisted into shouts of pain and shock, and Zed witnessed all of it. Not a sound could be heard, but there had never been a more disquiet silence.

1 Nhildreer There weren’t always dragons in the valley. In fact yesterday there hadn’t been. Nhildreer, son of the creator, Nhildrou, sneered at the beasts below him, milling about with their newly created limbs. Fights were already breaking out, pecking orders established, and… personalities developed. These new creations were smart, even with being the ugly things they were, with even uglier hearts. There were rumors that his father was even going to create some with the power over fire. There was, he realized, something familiar about them he could not place, but instinctively hated.

Ave De Muchos Colores
Blue. Yellow. Red. There were other colors of course, all flashing through the air and in the trees. They seemed to both catch the light and reflect it, turning the forest into a kaleidoscope all around the man in the clearing. He stood there, transfixed by the sight of so many Macaws. The cacophony of their intertwining songs filled the jungle around him, providing a unique music that could not possibly be replicated anywhere else. The humidity was a heavy stifling blanket, but the man couldn't care less. He smiled. Oh, yes. This would do. The amount of money he would bring in from the capture of so many of the birds… he started to sweat harder just thinking about it. The man broke off back through the thick foliage in the direction he had come from, struggling not to get caught on every single snag along the way. His boss would be very happy indeed.
