Why This New Kenobi Story Will Be So Important To The Jedi's Legacy
Star Wars and Marvel have just revealed Obi-Wan, a new comic series to be released in May that will delve deeper into key moments from the life of one of the biggest heroes in the Star Wars galaxy, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Written by Christopher Cantwell with art by Ario Anindito, the series finds the titular hero in the final days of his time on Tatooine, chronicling earlier adventures in his own journals (which were previously referenced in Marvel’s Star Wars series).

Is 'Star Wars' Becoming Too Reliant On Cameos?
Warning: Spoilers for Chapter 6: From The Desert Comes A Stranger It is starting to look like everybody knows everybody in Star Wars. Over the last few years, we have seen the franchise bring back many of its most iconic characters in current movies, shows, comics, novels, and video games. From original trilogy staples like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader to prequel mainstays like Yoda and Darth Maul. Of course, this makes sense in many respects. If you have gotten some of the most recognizable characters in pop culture, you might as well use them, right? But the question I want to talk about today is whether or not Star Wars has become too reliant on resurrecting these characters rather than focusing on new ones.

'Obi-Wan Kenobi': Theories On Where The Story Could Go
Since Sir Alec Guinness appeared on the screen as the venerable Ben Kenobi in A New Hope, some of us wondered about the Force and dreamed of someday becoming a Jedi Knight. However, despite any misgivings Guinness had about playing the role of the aging Jedi Master, the character Obi-Wan Kenobi became an essential part of the story of Luke Skywalker and his journey from farm boy to Jedi.

'The Book Of Boba Fett' Star Talks About On Set Environment
Jennifer Beals was a pleasant surprise and welcome addition to the Star Wars universe. In The Book of Boba Fett, she plays a Twi’lek named Garsa Fwip. Fwip owns and operates a cantina called The Sanctuary in Mos Espa, and unlike some other businesses in Mos Espa, she runs her business with dignity and respect. However, The Sanctuary wasn’t the only place treating its employees and patrons well. Jennifer Beals revealed that the set of The Book of Boba Fett was the “gold standard” in terms of set environment, and she said that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni helped to create an incredibly “safe and joyful” set for everyone.

Happy Birthday To John Williams: A Look At His Legacy
Imagine a great white shark fin cutting through the ocean waves, a space battle, an alien species finally making contact with Earth, bicycles flying through the air in the silhouette of the moon, a brachiosaurus roaming the Earth munching on the leaves of a tall tree, or a Quidditch match. We don't just see those images, we hear them. The magical special effects in each of those scenes is an incredible achievement in its own way, but it is the music of John Williams that brings them all to life.

When Is A Cameo In 'Star Wars' Just A Cameo?
The Star Wars universe is a vast and expansive galaxy. It is also a place where a lot of the characters tend to run into each other when having their own adventures. As Lucasfilm continues to expand this universe, it also wants to connect it. As the series and film side of things continues to expand, it will have to deal with more characters and more cameos. But what defines a cameo? When is something truly a cameo in Star Wars? When is something just a cameo for a cameo's sake and when is it something far more?

Why 'Peacemaker' Is The Best DC TV Show To Date
DC movies have always been quite epic and dark and often lacking humor. Enter James Gunn and The Suicide Squad. James Gunn not only managed to keep the dark and gritty DC feel while injecting a bucket load of humor into the mix. The Suicide Squad was to DC what Guardians of the Galaxy was to Marvel. This writer was very excited when it was announced that James Gunn would be taking on a spin-off television show using the Peacemaker character.

Potential Leak States 'Star Wars: Eclipse' Gameplay Will Reportedly Be Inspired By 'The Last Of Us'
The Star Wars gaming community is still reeling from the release of the Star Wars Eclipse cinematic reveal trailer. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one, as the stage is set for (hopefully) a renaissance of Star Wars video games. As new developers and studios take up the heavy Star Wars mantle, fans wait in anticipation to see what will be coming to their consoles. Eclipse caught fan attention with an impressive trailer, but still little is known about the actual gameplay, story, or setting of Eclipse, short of it being set in the High Republic and being developed by Quantic Dream.
