Rey Skywalker's Name Was ALMOST..."Winkie"
Pablo Hidalgo is a self-described expert on a variety of genre obsessions, from classic animation to shape-shifting robots. As a Lucasfilm veteran of over twenty years, he has much inside knowledge that most Star Wars fans would dream of having. Shortly after Disney acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, Hidalgo approached Kathleen Kennedy about the possibility of making his consulting role official, and this led to the creation of the Lucasfilm Story Group. The Lucasfilm Story Group is a team of Star Wars experts who work together to maintain the current Star Wars canon. Hidalgo has been able to successfully share his insight and experiences through several published titles that have proved to be wildly popular among Star Wars fans. Some of his best-known titles include: Star Wars: A New Hero (2014), Star Wars Rebels: Head to Head (2014), Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary (2015), Star Wars Propaganda: A History of Persuasive Art in the Galaxy (2016), Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide (2016), Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View (2017), Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary (2018), Solo: A Star Wars Story: The Official Guide (2018), Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious (2018), and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary.

The Reason Why Rey Deserves Her Own Sequel Trilogy
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker was touted as a conclusion to the saga films, or, more specifically, the Skywalker saga. The hero who was central to the sequel trilogy was Rey, who, at the end of it all, takes on the Skywalker moniker. The final scene of the film shows her at the Lars homestead from the original film, where she buries Luke and Leia's lightsabers before igniting her own yellow-bladed lightsaber. As conclusive as some things in the film may have felt, this scene, as CBR.com suggests, actually feels more like a new beginning for Rey rather than a conclusion to the story. This scene alone points to another big story that could be told.

Kelly Marie Tran Is Interested in Reprising Rose Tico
Kelly Marie Tran became more well-known to the Star Wars fandom when she starred as Rose Tico in Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi. Within that film, she played a member of the Resistance who loses her sister in a battle and then helps Finn try to get the First Order off the trail of the Resistance fleet. The casino subplot on Canto Bight was considered by many to be "filler," and the multiple points of failure within the film did not help much. Some people felt rubbed the wrong way when Rose crashed into Finn's ship to keep him from sacrificing himself, even though he probably would not have destroyed the cannon had he kept going. However, the character of Rose had compelling things to say, such as how people need to focus more on saving what they love than on giving in to hate. It is just that the circumstances surrounding these moments are not always executed in the best way.

'Star Wars' Confirms Rey's Choices, And Not Her Lineage, Define Her
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker was notorious for some of the creative choices that it presented. Chief among them was the idea of Rey Palpatine. When The Force Awakens came out, people started formulating theories about Rey's parentage. There were different ideas over the course of the sequel trilogy regarding Rey's lineage. Recently, Daisy Ridley revealed that the idea of Rey being a Kenobi was once on the table.

The Real Reason Only Some Mandalorians Have Jetpacks
The Mandalorian TV series and its titular character have earned their place in the Star Wars zeitgeist. Disney+ viewers are captivated by the characters and the story. However, there is no denying that some of the characteristics that accompany Din Djarin started decades ago with the character of Boba Fett. He was a very popular bounty hunter in the franchise. His armor was iconic, and aspects of it have made their way to Mandalorian characters like Din Djarin over the years. However, one thing that Din was missing for much of The Mandalorian season 1 was the jetpack. Boba Fett has been widely known for his jetpack, and his dad Jango Fett took it to another level with his use of it in Attack of the Clones. So it is interesting to note that Din does not have a jetpack for much of the show's first season. But why is that?

Report: Cassian Andor Show Title Revealed
Star Wars has had a lot of success with its first live-action TV series The Mandalorian. Unsurprisingly, Lucasfilm and Disney are keen on having more live-action shows for the franchise, which would be released on Disney+. Nearly two years ago, prior to the premiere of The Mandalorian, we learned during a Disney earnings call that a Cassian Andor series is in the works. Given that Rogue One appears to be arguably the most successful Star Wars film in terms of box office success and critical acclaim, it makes sense that the franchise would have a prequel to that film in the works.
